The 10th Annual Geelong Rainbow Festival (2027) is set to be Geelong’s biggest celebration of queer pride ever. Themed “Legacy: Celebrating the queer history of Geelong,” this milestone event is designed to connect, empower, and elevate the visibility of our regional LGBTIQA+ community.

Headlined by local legend Art Simone, the vibrant multi-day festival will feature our iconic Pride March, Fair Day, great live music, local arts, and bustling market stalls. To ensure an inclusive environment for everyone, we are incorporating dedicated kids’ play areas and accessible sensory spaces. A major highlight will be our premier “Geelong’s Next Drag Superstar” competition, which celebrates grassroots talent and awards a $1,000 cash prize to uplift local performers.

FUNDRAISING

Funds raised through GiveOUT Day will directly support essential operational costs including tent hire, vital accessibility infrastructure, and fair stipends for our queer artists. By supporting this legacy event, donors help keep the festival free, ensuring that young people, older community members, and those experiencing financial hardship can fully participate in an unforgettable celebration of regional queer identity and resilience.

GiveOUT Day funds will go directly to supporting the “legacy” art project which will capture the lived experience of our older LGBT community and showcase queer resilience, joy, and visibility
