What is Golden Rainbow Social Club?

Golden Rainbow Social Club is for LGBTQIA+ people and allies aged 50+ across Greater Geelong who want to get out, try somewhere new, meet others and enjoy good company without feeling like they’re joining another meeting or support group.

Every two months, we’ll organise a different social outing somewhere around Geelong, the Bellarine and beyond.

Think Sunday lunches, wineries and distilleries, restaurants, shows, events and other experiences worth getting out of the house for.

Where possible, we’ll also organise community bus transport, making it easier to simply come along, relax and enjoy the day.

Some people will come with friends. Some will come on their own. Some might already know people in the local community, while others may simply be looking for an easy way to meet new people.

There’s no pressure to be anything other than yourself. Just come along, enjoy the outing and see who you meet.

We’re officially launching Golden Rainbow Social Club on Wednesday 4 November 2026 from 3pm–5pm at Geelong West Neighbourhood House.

Join us for afternoon tea as we introduce the new Social Club, share what’s coming up and reveal the details of our first outing.

The launch is free to attend.
